Well here it is, Easter. A day that I thought I would be concerned about. But I'm not even in the least bit worried. I know what I can eat and know that I can control myself. I love turkey and can't wait to eat some with possibly some asparagus. Yummy!!
There was no weight loss yesterday but there were reasons behind that. But this morning I seem to be right back on schedule. I am down to 162.6 pounds and very excited that I am only 3 measly pounds away from my next small goal of the 150's. So I gave myself kind of a clean out day and ate mostly apples for the most part of the day and then had a little bit of a supper under the advice of my Auntie Tambra. She figured I didn't need a whole apple day to get rid of the extra water weight that I was seeming to carry. I also discovered a pretty neat fruit too, I went to the grocery store and I was in the produce section heading for the lettuce and I was stopped in my tracks by the most interesting smell. I turned to try and find the source of the aroma and all I could see were apples and oranges. So I went a little closer to the apples and picked up this little package of 4 apples and took a big wiff. It was this package of apples that had this smell. But these are no ordinary apples. These were called a Grapple. Slogan, 'Looks like an apple, tastes like a grape' But the smell. Oh it was like a bouquet of flowers. Smelt so amazing!! I couldn't wait to taste it. And it was the most unique thing I have ever tasted. Tasted like a blend of a grape and an apple. It was awesome!! Pricey, but worth the cost for a nice and special treat!! Something I would definitely buy again for sure!!
I am really proud of myself and excited for the upcoming week to see what more I can accomplish. Now that I am down nearly a whole 13 pounds. I can't hardly believe it!! It's not nearly as exciting now that I am adjusting to it but it is still motivating. Especially after such a short period of time. But all of this is so worth it. I am thrilled with how I am doing despite being held up for a day. It's only one day. So on to another day.
Happy Easter and take care everyone!!

Measuring day
So today was measuring day. Officially 7 days past my initial measurments were taken on day 1 of my VLCD (very low calorie diet) I am not entirely sure what came over me but I have these jeans that Rob bought me years ago before I got pregnant with Chase and they never fit. But I went downstairs this morning and grabbed the jeans and put them on and.........THEY FIT!!! Not comfortably yet mind you, but they did indeed fit!! I was so excited and almost fell over out of excitment. It was an amazing feeling. So finished getting the kids ready and out the door and then it was just me and my few moment of quiet time this morning to leave me with my tape. So I proceeded to take my measurements and was excited with the first one. They go as follws: (I=initial, T=today)
Waist: I-36.5 T-33.5 (-3)
Hips: I-43 T-41 (-2)
Stomach: I-43.5 T-40 (-3.5)
Chest: I-42 T-39.5 (-2.5)
Thighs: I-26 T-25 (-1)
Arms: I-13 T-12.5 (-0.5)
Total inches lost; 7 days= 12.5
Oh my GOSH!!! 12.5 inches to go along with my 11.4 pounds. Holy cow!!! What a feeling. I can't hardly believe that all of this is happening to me. What a glorious and more motivational thing to experience. I have been able to tell that my body is beginning to sculpt itself and it feels wonderful. I can't wait to be able to help it get even better. So after my measurments I honestly had my first moment. I had to call my Mom. So I called her and I let her know I was having a moment and just cried to her for a minute and explained to her what I was crying for. The tears of absolute joy and happiness. The feelings that I had were so great. I have hope, I have excitement every day, I am happy and in control of myself. Not only my food, but my emotions are stabalizing. I'm not angry anymore (well at least not all the time) I feel my confidence growing again and I can honestly, say I feel my smile coming back again. I'm happier with my life, happier with my family, easier on my children and husband, and falling back in love with myself. I am so glad that I made this choice to try this particular diet and so proud of my accomplishments thus far and feel that though it may not be right for just everyone, it was right for me.
Anyways, one last note before I go........Dark Chocolate Stevia is absolutely PHENOMINAL!!!! So that's that. LOL. Enough for tonight. Will catch up more tomorrow.
Take care everyone.

Journey to weight loss
So here it is. I am going to lay it all out on the the line right now. I started this weight loss venture 1 week ago today. I began the loading phase of the HCG diet. I spent 2 very uncomfortable days eating and drinking myself ridiculously full. I didn't sleep well and couldn't go to the bathroom to save my life. It was far from fun contrary to what all the posts say about how much people enjoyed it. It most definitely made me see that that is not how I wanted to eat ever again. (And shockingly I didn't gain even an ounce!!) Then on that Friday, I began my 500 calorie-per-day regime which will last anywhere from 18-40 days. It was hard, but I made my lunch before I went off to work and then enjoyed my dinner when I came home. Ate my snacks throughout the day and stayed within my calorie perimeters. When I went to bed I knew I was ready for it and I haven't slept that good in a very long time. I felt rested and almost lighter when I got up in the morning. Despite the major urge to pee!! LOL. I stepped on the scale and it took everything I had not to scream!! 5 pounds I lost over night. It amazes me just how much water I was retaining. I was enjoying making my new meals and have found a new love of asparagus too!! So now I am on day 7 (5 of phase 2) I feel great. My headaches have nearly subsided and my energy levels are good. I don't have heartburn anymore because surprise surprise, fattening foods cause heartburn!!! Who EVER knew that?? LOL. I don't seem to feel a lot of tempation and it is good to know that I have the control over myself. I know that I will start getting healthy foods even after this more than I used to. And now on day 7 I am down 10 pounds!! That is so exciting. So for now, I am signing off. I will continue updating on my quest to keep everyone updated. Live healthy!!
